How to convert a Word document to PDF

Export a finished Word file to PDF for sharing, printing, and uploads.

Word is great for drafting. PDF is better for a final share. Word to PDF takes your .docx and produces a PDF you can send across devices.

When to export to PDF

Export when the wording is final: proposals, resumes, forms, and handouts. Stay in Word while you are still rewriting.

How to use it

  1. Open Word to PDF and upload your .docx file.
  2. Convert and wait for the progress bar to finish.
  3. Rename if you want, then download the PDF.
  4. Open the PDF once to confirm page breaks look right.

Tip: Check page breaks in Word before you convert. A clean Word layout makes a cleaner PDF.
