How to extract PDF tables into Excel

Pull table data out of a PDF so you can sort, filter, and calculate in a spreadsheet.

Statements and reports often lock numbers inside a PDF. PDF to Excel extracts text and table-like rows into a spreadsheet you can work with.

When Excel beats a PDF

Use it for totals, filters, and charts. Keep the PDF when you only need a printable record.

How to use it

  1. Open PDF to Excel and upload a PDF that contains clear tables.
  2. Run the conversion and wait for the job to finish.
  3. Rename if needed, then download the spreadsheet.
  4. Review the columns and clean up any merged cells if needed.

Tip: Clean, single-column tables convert more reliably than complex multi-header layouts.
