How to compress a PDF for email and uploads
Shrink a large PDF so it fits attachment limits without starting from scratch.
Large scans and slide decks often miss email limits. Compression reduces file size so the same document is easier to send and upload.
When compression helps
Use it for email attachments, form uploads with size caps, and archives you want to store more lightly. Skip it when print quality must stay as sharp as the original scan.
How to use it
- Open Compress PDF and upload your file.
- Choose a compression level.
- Run compression and wait for the progress bar.
- Rename if you want, then download the smaller file.
Tip: If you only need a few pages, split first. A shorter PDF is often smaller than a compressed full scan.
